Flamboyant laywer Ahmednasir Abdullahi to give Ksh.1M to city watchman
Flamboyant lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi is planning to give a Nairobi-based watchman KSh 1M to help him and his wife start a business.
The two when the lawyer who was driving from his office rounds gave the guard who was headed home a lift.
In the conversation that ensued, the lawyer got to know the security guard works in Lavington and lives near the Lenana School with his family.
In an update on Twitter, the lawyer says he was touched by the fact that the middle-aged man walks 15 kilometres to and from work to catch a paltry Ksh. 12,000-a-month pay check which is barely enough for his wife and two kids.
“Gave a lift to this hard-working Kenyan…he works as a security officer in Lavington and stays near Lenana school…he walks 15 kilometres a day…to work and from work…,” he wrote in part.
The lawyer says that after their initial meeting, he gave the guard some money before they parted and asked him to visit him at his office on February 15.
Now, the lawyer, with the help of his friends and clients has decided to change the guard’s life, saying they will give the man and his wife a KSh.1M business capital to jump start their lives.
“To pleasantly surprise him and his wife when they come to see me on 15th…from my clients, friends and myself I will give him and his wife Kshs 1 million to start some small Biashara…I know we have millions like him but who said Allah can’t help his servant thru another one?” He added.
His kind gesture caught the attention of Kenyans on Twitter. See some reactions below.
How ordinary Kenyans live is beyond belief, it is called squalor. 1M to that guy is like 10M to me, good you have reached such a thought and decision. The rampant poverty in Kenya is out of this world. Good job much as unanichukia al always speak truth. 👏🏽

You did good.
Kindly attach him or you could personally give him some business mentorship so that that 1M changes his generation. Let that money not go to an investment that is not viable or to the stomach tu. Be blessed.

Great deed to your fellow man. It might just be the seed he required to change his life and those of his generation. We can only hope that the surprise shall not be revealed before then…worse still some crook might imagine that the guy will leave your house loaded.
