Flash floods displace Nakuru families

Residents of Nakuru County have been forced to relocate following the heavy rains that are pounding the area.

Several families living in Nakuru’s Abongoloya Estate were forced to relocate on Wednesday evening after flash floods swept through their homes.

The flooding in the estate has been blamed on poor drainage and sanitation with most drainage system being clogged.

The residents are now accusing the County Government of laxity in executing its mandate.

This has left them in fear of contracting water borne diseases.
