Floods Wreck Havoc in Namanga

Several other bodies have also been reported missing after the flash floods hit the area.

More than 1000 people were forced to spend the night in the rain after their houses were submerged by water.

Residents have incurred massive loss of property that is approximated to be worth millions of shillings after it was destroyed.

The floods have also affected petrol stations, hospitals and schools in the area.

In one hospital, all the drugs and syringes were swept away, the floods submerged all toilets including beds in the wards.

The owner of the hospital complained that this is not the first time he was incurring losses due to floods.

The owner of the petrol station said he has lost fuel worth more than Ksh5M after the petrol mixed with water.

Residents are blaming the government and the contractors for all their misfortune.

The contractors are said to have constructed the roads and in the process blocked the drainage systems.
