Kenyan low-cost airline Fly540 has now cancelled all flights to Lamu until further notice following a botched dawn attack by Al- Shabaab militants.

The airstrip has since also been closed until further notice.

At least four Al Shabaab militants were killed following the 5:30am raid which, according to Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) Spokesman Paul Njuguna, was successfully repulsed.
