Focus on campaigning for Raila, NASA followers told

The Opposition National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders and their supporters have been challenged to minimize the celebrations following the Supreme Court judgement annulling the August 8 presidential election and ordering for a fresh poll and instead focus on campaigning for Raila Odinga.

Church leaders drawn from Siaya County led by Bishop Oyamo Chanji and Bishop Fredrick Omolo advised the NASA leaders to now focus on how they can hunt for votes.

They told the NASA supporters that following the Supreme Court ruling, Kenyans have less than two months to re-elect a new President hence the need for them to embark on proper preparations.

Bishop Oyamo took the opportunity to plead with leaders especially in Luo Nyanza region to unite and embrace great humility so as to be able to solicit support from other communities within the remaining few days.

He took the opportunity to plead with NASA supporters to ensure they come out in their numbers to participate in the repeat of the presidential election, noting that their flag-bearer, Raila Odinga, will only win if they all come out to vote.

They were speaking in Bondo Town, where Bishop Omolo hailed the NASA lawyers led by Senior Counsel James Orengo and Rarieda MP, Otiende Amolo, for a job well done, noting that it is through their efforts that a favourable judgement was made in the presidential petition.
