Form 3 boy reported missing in Meru faked kidnapping, nabbed ‘living large’ in Nkubu
Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) based in Meru have discovered that a Form 3 boy who has allegedly been kidnapped from a renowned school in the region, had faked his own disappearance.
In a statement on Saturday, the sleuths said in efforts to trace the boys whereabouts, they discovered that he was living in Nkubu town, living off the money he had extorted his parents and relatives.
On the day he went missing, calls had been made to the boys parents and relatives, demanding an undisclosed ransom to secure his unconditional release.
Following the alleged kidnapping of a form three student from a renowned school in Meru, detectives embarked on an operation to trace the student’s whereabouts. Calls had been made to the boy’s distraught parents & relatives requesting for a ransom, to secure his freedom.
