Form 3 student stabbed in the head over a padlock, admitted to KNH

A Form 3 student at the Wahundura Secondary School in Murang’a has been admitted to the Kenyatta National Hospital after he was stabbed by another student.

A police report seen by Citizen Digital said the two students were fighting over a padlock on Sunday when one of them- a 17-year-old-whipped out a knife and stabbed the victim on the side of his head near the left ear.

The student was treated at the Kirian-ini Mission Hospital on the same day and discharged.

The police report said the student was in a ‘fair condition at the time’

However, when he went back to the hospital for a review two days later, the doctors suspected that he may have suffered internal injuries and reffered him to the Kenyatta National Hospital for specialised treatment.

According to the report, he is currently admitted to the KNH in a stable condition.

His attacker on the other hand is still at large, having disappeared from school shortly after the incident.
