A Form One boy in Homa Bay has been arrested for allegedly murdering a Grade Four girl following a dispute over a grazing field in Rachuonyo.

The suspect is accused of killing the 11-year-old girl at Nduga village in Kachien North Location.

The girl was killed on Friday, June, 19 after she had taken cattle to graze.

Her body was found three days later hidden inside a maize plantation.

A postmortem revealed that the girl was hit with a blunt object on the right ribs causing a fracture on 4th, 5th, and 6th ribs.

Rachuonyo South Sub-county Police Commander Esau Ochorokodi said they arrested the 15-year old boy after evidence linked him to the murder.

Ochorokodi says that the boy has been detained at Kosele Police Station and is set to be arraigned in court.
