Form three student collapses and dies outside classroom

Police in Rongo have launched an investigation into the death of a form three student at Kanga Secondary School in Rongo Sub County.

The 17 year old student died at Royal hospital in Rongo where he was rushed for treatment after he collapsed in school on Tuesday, July 18.

Rongo OCPD, Kisaka Muganda, said the student was pronounced dead after failing to respond to medication at Royal hospital.

“The student collapsed outside the classroom around 1 pm and we are investigating events leading to his collapse,” Muganda said.

Muganda said the police are waiting for the autopsy results which will inform their course of action.

The body of the student has since been removed to Rosewood Hospital Mortuary for preservation.
