Former Belgut MP Wesley Kimngeno Rono dies after short illness

Former Belgut Member of Parliament Wesley Kimngeno Rono has died.

Rono is said to have died in Kericho after a short illness.

According to the son Brian Rono, the former MP fell sick and was rushed to Siloam hospital in Kericho town.

He passed on at the facility after being admitted for two days.

The younger Rono however did not disclose the ailment which the former MP was suffering from.

He however said the family has set the burial for October 24 at their Masarian home in Belgut constituency.

The late Rono has left behind eight children.

The body is at the Siloam hospital mortuary.
