Former Kaloleni MP Gunga Mwinga dies of suspected COVID-19

Former Kaloleni Member of Parliament Gunga Mwinga is dead, his family confirmed the news early Sunday morning.

The ex-legislator succumbed to suspected COVID-19 at a Mombasa hospital while undergoing treatment.

The 45-year-old had been rushed to the hospital on December 24, 2020 following coronavirus complications.

The deceased, a lawyer by profession, was Kaloleni MP between 2013 and 2017 when he was ousted by current lawmaker Paul Katana.
