Former Nominated MP Mark Too dies in hospital

Former Nominated MP Mark Too has passed away in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County.

Mr Too, who was a top ally of former President Daniel Moi, was rushed to St Luke’s Hospital in critical condition Saturday afternoon.

Confirming his death, family doctor Ahmed Faraj said Too was rushed to hospital at 2:00pm, adding that the cause of death will be relayed later.

In a statement to newsrooms, President Uhuru Kenyatta condoned the family of the late Too – a man who he described as a “jovial easy-going character who fully embraced humility.”

Speaking as he consoled the family, Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi said that he was saddened by the demise of Too – a man who he described as a close friend and adviser.

Best known for stepping down from his nominated seat for President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2001, Too – who was popularly known as “Bwana Dawa” – was a top political player in the 90’s.

Mark Too was born in 1952 in Ndubenet Village, Nandi County.
