Retired President Daniel arap Moi jetted back into the country on Saturday evening after a successful medical trip in Israel.

In a statement released by the retired president’s acting press secretary Alex Chepkoit, the plane carrying Mzee Moi touched down at JKIA at 8pm, from where the entourage proceeded to his Kabarnet Gardens residence.

Moi was on Sunday, March 11 flown to Ichalov Hospital in Tel Aviv, Israel, accompanied by his personal physician Dr. David Silverstein and his son, Baringo Senator Gideon Moi.

He was scheduled to undergo a specialised assessment of his knee, which was reported to have been causing him discomfort.

Mr. Moi was discharged from the hospital on Thursday, March 15 after getting a clean bill of health from the doctors.

He then spent the rest of the day visiting some holy sites in Israel and the city of Jerusalem.
