Four children die as lorry rams into house in Migori

Four children have died and another sustained light injuries after a lorry ferrying sand rammed into their house while they were sleeping in Kuria West, Migori County.

Confirming the incident, Kuria West OCPD Benson Makumbi said the lorry veered off Mtomrabu-Mabera road, ramming into the house killing the four, aged between three and 12, instantly.

Mr Makumbi said the survivor is recuperating while the four bodies have been transferred to Migori Level IV Hospital mortuary.

Police are hunting down the driver after he fled following the accident.
