Four children, their mother die in Bunta Banta accident

Ten people have died and several injured early Tuesday morning after a bus headed to Nairobi from Wajir collided head-on with a lorry ferrying building blocks at Bulta Banta on the Garissa-Nairobi highway.

Tana North OCPD Tom Okoth told Citizen Digital that the bus, christened Sabrin, collided with the lorry which was headed to Garissa from Thika at 2am.

Mr Okoth said that four children and their mother died on the spot and that eight of those who perished were bus passenger and the other two were in the lorry.

The injured victims have been rushed to Garissa Level Five Hospital.
