Four foreigners held over drug trafficking in Mombasa

Four foreigners are being held by police in Mombasa in connection with drug trafficking as the government steps up the war on drugs.

The four drug suspects who include two Seychelles nationals and two South Africans were arrested during a Friday night operation in the Coastal City.

Police say two of the suspects are accused of money laundering and drug trafficking while the other suspects are on the wanted list of the National Drugs Enforcement Agency in Seychelles.

The suspects were taken to Port Police Station pending interrogation and possible extradition.

This comes days after Kenyan brothers Baktash and Ibrahim Akasha and foreigners Gulam Hussein and Vicky Goswami were extradited to New York for being part of a drug trafficking syndicate.
