Four killed by suspected Al Shabaab militants in Hindi, Lamu

Four people have been beheaded in Hindi, Lamu County by suspected Al Shabaab militants.

Coast Regional Police boss Larry Kieng said the armed militants raided Silini-Mashambani and Bobo villages in Hindi and brutally killed the four villagers in two separate incidents.

Lamu County Commissioner Gilbert Kitiyo confirmed the killings, adding that they are yet to establish if the attackers were Al-Shabaab militants.

The incident comes barely two weeks after four people were beheaded by suspected Al-Shabaab militants at Maleli village in Witu Division, Lamu West.

After the attack, angry Hindi village residents blocked the Hindi-Lamu road to protest over alleged slow response by security agencies during attacks.
