Four killed in Msambweni accident
Four people were killed and 43 others critically injured after a vehicle heading to a wedding ceremony was involved in a grisly road accident at Millalani corner area in Msambweni, Kwale County.
The Ng’ombeni School Bus was ferrying guests to Lunga Lunga area where they were to attend a wedding ceremony.
Kwale deputy County Commissioner, Elvis Korir, said that the bus driver lost control of the vehicle causing it to swerve out of the road before rolling severally.
Mr Korir said that the injured were rushed to Msambweni Referral Hospital for treatment while the bodies of the deceased were taken to the same facility’s mortuary.
He called on drivers to be more careful on the roads to reduce such accidents.
The accident comes barely 24 hours after 14 people died after a Public Service Vehicle headed for Kisumu from Sirare lost control plunging into a ditch.
