Four people killed in road accident in Kwale

Four people died Friday evening in a road accident at Kanana Shopping Centre along the Lungalunga – Likoni highway in Kwale.

The accident involved a canter ferrying fruits from Mombasa and a school van belonging to Star Academy that way on its way from Shimoli where they had attended an academic tour.

One student, a mother and her child who were on the roadside died on the spot while a teacher died at the hospital.

Msambweni OCPD Benjamin Rotich confirmed the incident.

Area residents said that the spot is prone to accidents and called on the government to erect bumps to curb more deaths.
