Red Cross officials arrived at the scene to coordinate the rescue mission.

According to some of the tenants who spoke to Citizen Digital, the apartment was allegedly constructed on top of a sink pit.

This is what they suspect may have been the cause of the incident.

They also revealed that the apartment had started showing signs of collapsing since Sunday but apparently pleas to the owner to evacuate them fell on deaf ears.
