Fuel prices up in third consecutive month

Motorists will continue to experience pain at the pump, after the government announced an increase in fuel prices for the next one month.

The Energy Regulatory Commission has marginally increased price of Super Petrol by 78 cents and Diesel by 17 cents, with the price of Kerosene also going up by 77 cents.

Super Petrol will now retail at 101 shillings per litre, Diesel at 90 shillings per litre and while consumers will pay 68 shillings for a litre of Kerosene in Nairobi starting Tuesday, March 14, midnight.

Last month, ERC announced a hike in pump prices that saw Super Petrol go up by 4.26 shillings per litre, Diesel up by 5.03 shillings per litre, and Kerosene price increased by 3.75 shillings a litre in the capital.
