Gachagua’s Absence from Office

Just how long can a governor be absent from his county? Well, neither the constitution nor county government laws prescribe the maximum period a county boss can be away from his work station. Nyeri Governor Nderitu Gachagua has been missing in action for sometime reportedly due to ill health triggering concerns from his constituents. But as francis gachuri reports, Gachagua’s deputy Samuel Wamathai says there is no cause for alarm as he is in charge of the county government.
