Gangsters found dividing loot, shot dead
Four suspected gangsters were on Wednesday night shot dead along the Thika Superhighway by police and two guns recovered from their person.
The suspects, who were reportedly operating on a boda boda, had attacked and robbed several motorists before they were cornered near Homeland restaurant.
Boda boda operators spotted the suspects arguing over their loot and alerted police who confronted the suspects, eventually shooting them dead.
Police recovered two pistols and several rounds of ammunition.
Nairobi and its environs have been hit by a wave of robberies involving gangsters on motorbikes.
Recently, boda boda association members and their leaders called on genuine boda boda operators to report suspected criminals who disguise themselves as boda boda operators therefore ruining their reputation.
