Gangsters shoot man three times in morning robbery

A middle aged man was on Wednesday morning shot by unknown gunmen outside the Public Service Club in Upper Hill, Nairobi.

According to police, the man is said to have withdrawn money from an M-Pesa shop at Kenyatta National Hospital and was suspected to be going to the bank before he was trailed by three gangsters on a motorcycle.

On reaching Mara Road, the gunmen are reported to have shot the victim three times before and made away with an unknown amount of money.

Speaking to Citizen Digital, Nairobi Regional Coordinator Bernarnd Leparmarai said the 9.30am incident left the victim with bullet wounds on the head and the stomach.

The man was rushed to KNH and investigations into the incident are underway.
