Girl, 14, murdered on her way to school

The body of a 14-year-old girl was on Thursday found dumped on the banks of Damagoro river in Gatundu, Kiambu County.

According to Gatundu South OCPD Ruben Muli, the body of the Class 8 pupil at Ichachiri primary school was discovered by residents.

Police say her body was found with deep cuts in her head and on different parts of her body.

According to the mother, Dorcas Wanjiru, the girl left home at around 6:30am for school only for her to receive the news of her passing later in the day.

Police have launched investigations.
