Girl skips KCPE to be with lover

A class eight pupil has been forced to sit her national examinations in a police station after skipping school to be with her lover.

The girl, a KCPE candidate at Ndhiwa Primary School in Homa Bay county is believed to have boycotted her Kiswahili and Science tests on Wednesday to be with her lover.

According to Homa Bay County OCPD Nixon Makokha, the police were informed of the girl’s absence after the school administration reported her absence.

“The information we have is that the girl skipped the exams to elope with her lover. We are investigating the matter to establish why the girl decided to skip some exams,” said the OCPD.

Speaking to Citizen Digital, Ndhiwa Primary School head teacher Gabriel Ogutu said that the girl sat for her first papers on Tuesday but failed to show up on Wednesday.

“The girl sat for her papers on Tuesday including the mathematics, English language and the English composition tests but failed to show up yesterday (Wednesday)” said Mr. Ogutu.

The exams end today.
