God tells church leader to allow Measles and Rubella vaccination

The founder of the Migori-based St. Joseph Mission of Messiah in Africa, Joseph Oulo alias Baba, has dismissed claims that they denied a health officer an opportunity to vaccinate their children against Measles and Rubella saying God spoke to him about the vaccination and instructed him to allow the government to do as it wishes, though it will bear the consequences.

Oulo said the government is at liberty to vaccinate their children as many times as possible, adding that they are not ready to wrestle with the government over vaccination even though they oppose it.

The church leader has also pointed out that the Church cannot bar its followers from taking their children for vaccination but it cannot permit the administering to be done within its premise.

According to Oulo, anybody who seeks assistance in their church solely needs God’s intervention and not injections.

Oulo’s sentiments come a few days after one of his followers allegedly confronted health officers in a primary school to ask why their children were being vaccinated without their knowledge as a church.

Some of the Church followers, who spoke to Citizen Digital, maintained that they are against the injection and that they will not change their stance even if they are apprehended.
