Good deeds: Embu MCA uses car grant to buy ambulance

An MCA from Embu County has shocked and impressed many after he used his Ksh.4.5 million car grant not to buy a top of the range vehicle but to purchase a fully equipped ambulance for his constituents in a bid to boost access to affordable healthcare.

Morris Muchiri Nyaga alias Collo, a first time MCA for Kirimari said the ambulance is meant to help residents, mainly those living in informal settlements who cannot afford an ambulance in case of a medical emergency.

The MCA said the ambulance will complement the services being offered by the county government thus ensuring the residents of his ward get proper better healthcare.

Mr. Muchiri said the ambulance will only be a phone call away.
