Google Honours The Late Maruge

The doodle marked the 11th Anniversary after  Maruge  joined school in 2004, at the age of 84.

The doodle, according to google, is used to celebrate the lives of famous scientists, artists, and pioneers throughout history.

The doodle was a reminder that it is never too late to learn something new.

According to the Guinness world record, Maruge is the oldest man ever to join school at an older age.

Maruge enrolled at Kapkenduiywo primary school in Eldoret town with his two grandsons.

Maruge wanted to know how to write and how to a read a bible.

Maruge died in 2009 as a result of stomach cancer.
