Goons Disrupt Activities in Maseno

The disrupted meeting had been held to solve the issues pertaining to the workers’ unpaid dues in the university.

The goons, whose identity remains unknown, are said to have invaded the campus compound in two saloon cars, before beating and injuring a student and a lecturer.

The two in self defense, attacked two out of the twelve goons leaving them with acute injuries.

The goons were armed with machetes and other weapons which they used to disrupt the normal operations within the campus.

The incident comes even as the standoff between university’s management and staff continues to widen threatening the campus’ learning activities.

The lecturers are now calling on the management to take measures to ensure the matters the meeting was to address are resolved.
