Govt Urged To Increase Security In North Eastern

Leaders from North Eastern Kenya have asked the government to employ more police reservists in the region to tackle perennial insecurity there. Led by Garissa senator Yusuf Haji, the leaders also called on locals and politicians in the region to fully support devolution. Speaking at a homecoming ceremony for Garissa Governor Nathif Jama in Dadaab, Wajir governor Ahmed Abdullahi also asked the national government to release payroll funds to county governments to make civil servants more accountable to county governments.
