The government will tomorrow meet IEBC commissioners to negotiate their exit package and pave the way for recruitment of new electoral commissioners. An inter-agency committee comprising the national treasury, the salaries and remuneration commission, the attorney general and the public service ministry has asked IEBC chairman Ahmed Issack Hassan and his team to submit an outline of their preferred exit perks, that sources indicate could cost the taxpayer at least sh. 200m.
