Governor Joho: We know Jubilees plan to balkanize the country

Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho has alleged a plan by Jubilee to divide the country along tribal lines in a bid to win the 2017 polls.

Addressing residents of Budalang’i at Lunyofu Stadium on Wednesday, Joho said that Jubilee government has hatched a plan to traverse CORD strongholds and encourage them to form their own parties in a bid to divert votes.

“Jubilee is trying a new tact where they encourage different counties to form their own parties while telling their affiliate parties to dissolve and join one party,” said Joho.

“This is just a plot to divide votes in CORD regions so that they can win the elections.”

Joho further extended an olive branch to Ababu Namwamba upporters to welcome back Ababu Namwamba as a way of fostering unity in the region.

He noted that Coast is firmly rooted in ODM to saying he would not allow Jubilee to destabilise the party.

“Jubilee said that they have managed to disorient Western and they are not planning to enter the Coast region. I would like to assure them that when they come to Coast with their plans I will use their podium to tell them how Kenyans have lost faith in them.”

Joho urged the Luhya community to unite behind Raila Odinga and ensure he ascends to power in 2017.
