Governor Laboso returns home after medical stay abroad

Bomet Governor Joyce Laboso has returned to the country after being away in India and the United Kingdom seeking medical treatment.

Governor Laboso, who jetted back on Sunday morning, left the country on May 29 for the United Kingdom where she stayed before she was later transferred to India for further treatment.

She is expected to continue with treatment for a yet to be publicised ailment in one of the medical facilities in the country.

Her arrival ends week-long speculations among the residents who have been camping outside county offices inquiring about her medical progress.

Bomet County Deputy Governor Hillary Barchok had taken over the Governor’s responsibilities while she was away.

Last month, Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga accompanied by Kenya’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom Manoah Esipisu paid a visit to Governor Laboso in a London hospital.
