Governor Mandago leads 50-bus convoy from Eldoret to Uhuru’s swearing-in

Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago on Monday flagged off at least 50 buses and matatus to ferry hundreds of Jubilee supporters from Eldoret to Nairobi for the swearing-in ceremony of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.

Governor Mandago led the convoy from the front in his official vehicle, with the rest following from behind. They arrived in Nairobi at 3AM.

Speaking before flagging off the convoy, Governor Mandago urged President Kenyatta to sit down with opposition chief and NASA leader, Raila Odinga, for dialogue after his Tuesday swearing-in ceremony.

Governor Mandago also asked the government to maintain peace during both President Kenyatta’s inauguration ceremony, as well as at NASA’s parallel memorial rally expected to go down at Jacaranda Grounds in Embakasi on Tuesday.
