Governor Ruto defends Raila over incitement allegations

Bomet Governor, Isaac Ruto, has defended National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga over alleged inciting remarks he made in Kajiado last week.

The NASA co-principal says that Odinga was only advising the local community to sell their land at current market rates adding that there is nothing wrong with that.

Ruto blamed Jubilee for the current shortage of the subsidized maize flour saying that the basic commodity has become unaffordable for most Kenyan households, sentiments echoed by  Narok West Member of Parliament, Patrick Ntutu.

He said that the people behind the arrest of political suspects in 2007/2008 Post election violence are well known within the Jubilee camp and that Raila had nothing to do with it.

Ruto branded Jubilee’s leadership as ‘inefficient’ saying Kenyans are suffering across the board urging the electorate to vote out the ruling coalition.

Raila has been facing accusations of allegedly advising the Maasai community to evict non-locals, allegations he has termed as baseless.
