Governors Are Failing, Says Lonyangapuo

Lonyangapuo said the governors should use their time to work for the electorate and stop supremacy battles.

Lonyangapuo defended the senate and the national assembly  saying they are oversight bodies to ensure county funds are utilized well.

Lonyangapuo warned governors of tough actions if they misuse public funds .

He said most of the governors have not followed the public finance management act which has seen millions of public funds being misused by governors offices.

Speaking at Tartar primary school school during prize giving day the senator said the senate is committed to ensure all corrupt governors are sent out of office and assured Kenyans that the senate will not spare any corrupt governor in the country.

He has called on Kenyans to collect signatures to impeach  corrupt governors.

Lonyangapuo has dismissed claims that the senate is an idle house that was working against governors to undermine devolution in the country saying the senate is an oversight organ for counties and it is working within the law to protect devolution.
