Governors now Sign Ksh.38B Medical Equipment Deal

Governors have beaten a hasty retreat and agreed to sign the memorandum of understanding on the medical equipment leasing project initiated by the national government at a cost of sh. 38b.

The county bosses however maintain that despite their change of heart, all the issues they had raised on the managed equipment services programme must be resolved.

The governors’ about turn was as a result of intense pressure from the electorate and the national government who were accusing the county bosses of putting commercial interests ahead of medical needs of the ordinary citizens.
