Governors Set Funds for Food Relief

Governors from Northern Kenyan say they have began to put measures in place to safeguard their counties from a looming drought. The governors drawn from Tana River, Isiolo, Mandera, Marsabit, Garissa, Lamu and Wajir say they have already began supplying water and relief food to residents of their respective counties. The counties are however appealing to the National Government to disburse the equalization funds to help targeted counties implement long term measures to ensure food security.
