Govt has Failed us, Mau Evictees to Jubilee

The evictees accuse the President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto’s administration of playing politics with the emotive relocation issue during the 2013 presidential campaigns.

They claim that the Jubilee government promised them land during the last presidential campaign, a promise which has since ‘evaporated into the thin air’.

Further, the evictees say that the government has since stopped providing them with relief food since they were flushed out of the water catchment area.

Most of their children have also stopped attending school due to the long distances they have to travel to the nearest educational centres.

The evictees have complained of lack of basic social amenities at the Kipkongor Camp.
