Gov’t Shuts Down Racist Chinese Restaurant

The restaurant has been on the spot for the last few days after reports emerged that it was barring Africans entry after 5pm.

Further investigations revealed that the establishment has also been operating without a license.

Nairobi Governor Dr Evans Kidero now says the restaurant issue was brought to him three days ago after which investigations began to the validity of its operations.

Kidero further confirmed that the owners had not complied with the physical planning act by converting a residential property to a commercial premise.

Kidero added that the restaurant had no liquor license nor had they adhered to health requirements for food handling.

The governor now says that the restaurant will remain closed until it complies.

Investigations into the establishment are ongoing, including that of the ombudsman.

Kidero said that all people should be treated with dignity regardless of race, adding that it was a shame that such a thing could happen, stating that those found culpable will be brought to book.
