Govt to hold Kenya Fertilizer Conference
Education on access and usage of fertilizer remain key in improving production for farmers in the country.
This is one of the areas the government will be focusing on as it prepares to hold the Kenya Fertilizer Conference on October 16 this year.
The conference will draw participants from both the private and public sectors, discussing challenges in securing and using fertilizer, as well as issue of soil additives.
Speaking in Murang’a County, Simon Mwangi from the Ministry of Agriculture, noted that fertilizer usage was still low among farmers in Kenya, despite the government increasing disbursement through subsidies.
