Gov’t to Recruit Education Officers to boost Quality of Education

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology is set to recruit 200 Education Officers to boost quality of education in the country.

The officers will be deployed in the County and Sub County Education Offices where they will be expected to implement the policies, programmes of the Ministry.

This is contained in a Circular, signed by the Director for Human Resource Management and Development, Mr Andrew Nyanchoga, on behalf of the Cabinet Secretary for Education Prof Jacob Kaimenyi.

The circular has been sent to directors of education, County Directors and Sub County Directors of Education.

Applicants must have bachelor of education degrees and must also have worked a minimum period of 6 years cumulative service.

The Circular has been copied to all Cabinet Secretaries, the Principal Secretaries of the two state departments in the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and the Secretary, Teachers Service Commission.

The education officers will be coming in to help the implementation of the Basic Education Act 2015 as well as oversee the implementation of Ministry of Education policies across the country.
