Gov’t To supply Food To Over 1M People

The Ministry of Devolution and planning and the arid and semi-arid lands committee of the county goverments today, Tuesday, agreed that the national government will be responsible for food relief and distribution while the county government will be responsible for water distribution, veterinary and human health.

The government has forecast an impending food crisis in central parts of Turkana, western parts of Marsabit, some parts of Samburu, Mandera, Wajir, West Pokot and Baringo.
