Group to hold ‘naked protests’ during Obama visit

A political party in Nairobi has vowed to hold a naked protest during the visit by U.S. President Barack Obama.

In a statement, The Republican Liberty Party, through its party leader Viincent Kidala noted that they will hold a procession in Nairobi, naked, as a way of protesting President Obama’s reported support for homosexuality.

“We shall hold a peaceful procession in Nairobi on 22nd and 23rd July 2015 commencing from Freedom Corner,” read the statement in town.

“The procession shall be carried out by approximately 5,000 totally naked men and women to protest over the U.S. President Barack Obama’s open and aggressive support for homosexuality.”

The party said its main objective is for him to “see and understand the difference between a man and a woman.”

President Obama is expected in Kenya for the Global Entrepreneurship Summit set for July 24th to 26th 2015.

The event is set to bring together business leaders and young entrepreneurs from across the world.
