Guard arrested for defiling child in Mombasa

A senior security guard has been arrested by police in Mombasa County for allegedly defiling a seven years old girl at Shimamzi area.

A section of women among them human rights activists are now calling out for justice, saying the act is inhumane and the suspect must be arraigned in court and punished.

According to Matilda Achieng’, the girl was lured into a neighbour’s house on Monday evening before being rapped by the 40-year-old man.

The suspect is currently being held at Port Police and is expected to be arraigned.
