Guns stolen from police officers killed in Marsabit recovered
Three G3 Rifles that were stolen after three police officers were killed by armed assailants at Jaldesa in Marsabit have been recovered.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations said the guns were recovered along Jaldesa-Shurr Road.
During the attack that occurred on November 6, 10 herders were also murdered and cattle stolen.
The officers were killed at a watering point while engaging the armed bandits in a gun battle.
In a press address after the incident, Marsabit Governor Mohamud Mohamed said around 800 animals were stolen.
