Headteachers demonstrate over missing Principal

Principals and head teachers drawn from Murang’a County took to the streets on Wednesday, November 9 to protest the disappearance of Kiru Boys Secondary School headteacher, Solomon Mwangi.

Solomon Mwangi was reported missing on Sunday, November 6 after bidding his wife goodbye to attend to his school, never to arrive to the institution.

Reports by Murang’a County Commissioner, John Elungata, however, indicated that police had already taken up the matter and were searching for the missing headteacher.

“We already began our search but if anyone has any reports, please bring that information to us,” said the Commissioner while addressing the school heads outside his office.

The school teachers on the other said they would continue with the demonstration until the search for their missing colleague is complete.

“He (Solomon Mwangi) is one of us, and we will do whatever it takes to bring him,” said Willy Kuria, the Kenya Secondary School Heads Association (KESSHA) Murang’a County chairman.
