Health PS Nicholas Muraguri moved to Ministry of Lands in mini-reshuffle

Health Principal Secretary, Dr Nicholas Muraguri, was on Friday, March 31, moved to Ministry of Lands in same capacity replacing Mariam El Maawy who takes over as PS in the Ministry of Public Works.

Muraguri has been replaced by Julius Korir, who was the PS for Industry and Enterprise Development. Korir’s position has been taken over by Patrick Nduati.

In a circular from State House to newsrooms, the reshuffle also saw Amb. Peter Kaberia moved from Defence PS to Sports Development in the same capacity. Amb. Kaberia has since been replaced by Saitoti Torome who was in charge of Planning and Statistics.

Mr Torome’s position has been taken over by Wilson Nyakera who was in the Ministry of Transport, with Nyakera’s position being taken over by Dr Paul Mwangi who was in charge of Public Works.

Others who have been affected include Irrigation PS Patrick Nduati who will now be in charge of the Industry and Enterprise Development docket.

Richard Ekai has been moved from Ministry of Sports and will now be in charge of Correctional Services.

In a reshuffle aimed at improving accountability in the execution of government’s responsibilities, the ministry of devolution, transport, irrigation, gender affairs, industry enterprise development, planning and statistics were among those reshuffled.
