Man hacked to death in tragic love triangle

Police in Kirinyaga County are investigating the death of a middle-aged man who was hacked to death after being allegedly caught up in a love triangle.

The man, identified as Paul Muciemi, was allegedly killed on Monday after the husband of the woman he was engaging in an affair with caught them in the act.

According to witnesses, Paul had invited the woman over to his house for a drink where they are said to have engaged in sexual activity before they were caught by the woman’s husband.

Speaking to Citizen Digital, Nguka Location Chief David Muriithi said the husband was alerted of his wife’s infidelity by friends.

“The husband could have possibly received a tip off from villagers,” said Mr Muriithi.

The assailant, however, surrendered himself to the Kandongu Administration Police (AP) camp after committing the heinous crime.

The body of the deceased has been transferred to Murang’a County Mortuary.
